Everything is tight and solid, there's no looseness or wiggle. The Bowie style blade measures about 7 inches long and is parkerized. The false edge is flattened somewhat. The guard is steel and the handle leather with grip grooves carved into it. The pommel is steel with the tang of the knife peened rather than the rectangular flat end of later models.

The sheath appears to be the original one for the knife. It has "27" painted on the back. The knife has discoloring, scratches, blemishes, dings, corrosion, wear, etc consistent with a vintage knife.
