THIS KNIFE IS FROM MY COLLECTION. HEAVY SHEATH KNIFE WOODCRAFT HUNTING KNIFE. This is a WOODCRAFT Sheath Knife with GreenBone Slabs. Length = 8"; Blade is 4-1/2".
Slabs are peened (not spun rivets). I was notified by a collector that it was a Utica Cutlery knife made in NY.Unusual design, with tang passing through a Nickel-Silver Pommel and. Hairline pin cracks at lower end of each. Knife was cleaned and buffed by someone long ago (not me).
NOTE: THIS IS A WELL-MADE KNIFE. PRODUCED LONG AGO BY A QUALITY. Nice old SHEATH KNIFE (GREENBONE-SLAB HANDLE). HANDLES ARE HELD TO TANG BY PEENED PINS.Blade ricasso is unmarked buffed away? Are attractive GreenBone; tightly fit; colorful slabs have good jigging and nice texture. Pommel is pinned through the tang (odd design). Spine of blade has tightly spaced filework for THUMB GRIP (closeup pic).
Knife appears used, sharpened, and cleaned by someone before me; looks buffed. This is a curious knife with many.
Put it back in circulation. Have not cleaned, buffed, or otherwise modified this knife. Plexiglass display frame and/or other props used in some photos are not included in the sale. NO SMELLY KNIVES FROM ME.
