Webster Marble built his first knives and axes in Gladstone, Michigan about 1898. They manufactured several high quality sheath and hunting knives. These knives were considered "Top Drawer Quality" by any sportsmen & this is one of those knives. This is a Vintage Model Ideal fixed blade hunting knife Boy Scouts of America, tang stamped with the small square MARBLE'S , GLADSTONE, MICH. That was used from around ww2 and after. 9 1/4", the blade measures 5" long, showing a few light scratches and some slight natural patina, no pitting. The handle is a Gorgeous stacked leather, supple, no spacing! Secured by 3/8 split nut with Colorful MSA Style spacers, red, brass black brass and red at the full brass hilt & at the aluminum pommel.

The pommel is attached with a 3/8 brass split. The pommel is loose a bit, I dont have my screwdriver with me to tighten it down. Nice Vintage Marbles Leather Handle 5 IDEAL Boy Scout hunting knife. The sheath is embossed with the BOY Scouts of America logo and it has tight stitching and riveting all around.

Other than that the blade is full, the leather is great. This knife has been in the collection for over 30 years....
