Vintage WWII WESTERN BOULDER Baby Shark Fixed-Blade Military Knife Bakelite

This is a Western #L46-5 US Military fixed-blade knife, made in Western's Boulder factory. This is the famous Western "Baby Shark" pattern. The blade is tang stamped WESTERN BOULDER COLO with a patent #. Original WWII era knife with Bakelite guard and pommel. Older style high quality knife - carbon steel blade.

5" blade length, 9" overall length. Carried and used, lightly sharpened. The blade is full and has dark patina, blade and tang have staining.

Split leather handle - no damage. Bakelite guard and pommel are both tight. Guard has a couple of small tight hairline cracks - one on each side. The sheath has some missing stitches at the lowe end - and the keeper strap is difficutl to snap closed.
