Vintage Western S-649/SS W49 Bowie fighting survival Hunting V44 Knife NMC

This is a rare (late 60s, early 70s era) S-649, a stainless steel version of the W49 Bowie knife Western is famous for. The knife is in near mint condition as is the original leather sheath. It is a full tang knife. The Delrin (extremely durable plastic composition) handles are tight without cracks and the brass hand guard is also tight with no movement. It is stamped Western Boulder Co on one side of the guard and S-649 stainless steel on the opposite side.

The original factory leather sheath is also in excellent condition with no loose or missing stitches and showing only very minor storage wear. Please see all pictures as part of the description.
