THIS IS A Mint 1986 Puma 11 3588 Waidbesteck (Super Set) With Stag Handles Knife Set With Leather Sheaths - Mint In WOODEN Presentation BOX WITH CONTROL NUMBER CERTIFICATE. 1986 Puma ORIGINAL 11 3588 Waidbesteck (Super Set) NACH OBERFORSTMEISTERLARGE FREVERT, HUNTING Knife Set. The Puma model numbers are 11 3588 Waidblatt & 11 3587 HANDARBEIT PUMA Jagdnicker VON WAIDBESTECK. Both knives have genuine stag handles with lots of character AND SUPER MATCHING STAG WITH DEEP DARK GRAINS ON BOTH KNIVES WITH NO CRACKS, CHIPS OR ANY IMPERFECTIONS. BOTH HAVE 3 LARGE RIVETS AND A STEEL BUSHED LANYARD HOLE.

BOTH KNIVES HAVE NICKEL SILVER FRONT DOUBLE GUARDS WITH A SILVER SHIELD AND REAR NICKEL SILVER POMMELS. The Puma guarantee control number is 42682 for both knives. This indicates each knife was hand made in the LAST QUARTER OF 1986 at Puma Werks in Solingen, Germany. The waidblatt blade was made from German high carbon steel and the blade from the jagdnicker was made from stainless steel. The Waidblatt knife measures 13" overall with a 8 1/2" blade.

The Jagdnicker knife measures 8" overall with a 3 3/4" blade. BOTH BLADES STILL HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL ROCKWELL HARDNESS GEPRUFT TESTED CONTROLLE STICKERS ON THE BLADES (WITH THE HARDNESS DOT). The super knife set also comes with a genuine dark green Puma leather sheath IN NEW CONDITION. The Waidblatt blade is etched with: ORIGINAL PUMA WAIDBLATT - NACH OBERFORSTMEISTER FREVERT - BEST NO.

The Jagdnicker blade is etched: PUMA KLIENER JAGDNICKER - NACH OBERFORSTMEISTER FREVERT - INOX BEST NO. The Waidblatt bearing the number 3588 has been produced by Puma for decades and, in addition to the Nimrod, Rüdemann and the Hirsch catcher. The Waidblatt is one of the most powerful and largest knives made by Puma. It was created in the 50's with the help of Walter Frevert.

The Waidbesteck (Super Set) carries the number 11 3588 and consists of the Waidblatt 3588 and the small Jagdnicker with the number 11 3587 (at the introduction of Waidbestecke). A short time later, the jaw of the Waidbesteck then got the number 3588 1/2, which later (mid-60s) but was changed again and since then again carries the number 3587. The knives comes in the vintage style 1970's factory wood presentation box with the factory product information CERTIFICATE. Each Puma knife was hand made in Solingen Germany at Puma Werks.

Puma makes one of the highest quality knives made. The knife includes the "Puma Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle. Both knives also have the gold PUMA guarantee STICKERON EACH KNIFE BLADE. This is a chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history SINCE 1876 THEN PUMA WERK 1900 REGISTER.
