For sale here is an outstanding early Rick Genovese Bowie Knife. Beautiful does not go far enough in describing this knife. If you don't know these knives, please look them up. Genovese now specializes in folders with beautiful inlay, but will still make the occasional fixed blade knife, but used to make plenty of fixed blades. This is an early one as he was located in Colorado Springs at the time.

Genovese is now in Arizona. The knife is complete with numbered scabbard. You can feel the quality when you pick this knife up.

The knife features an eight inch blade and has an overall length of thirteen and 1/4 inches. At it's thickest point, the blade is 1/4 thick.

The blade, crossguard, and tang are made from one thick piece of steel. The tang is fully encapsulated in stag. The beautiful stag plates are polished and held in place by two rivets. The blade is polished to an amazing mirror finish that i hard to do justice to with a camera. The left side of the blade is marked with a simple R.

Springs and the number 224 inside of an oval. The blade is extremely sharp and has not been messed with and has a needle like point.

The faux edge on the top isn't actually faux and is sharp. The top edge measures four and 1/2 inches. I just cannot get over the mirror finish on this thing. You can actually use it as a mirror! The scabbard is a very thick and very heavy leather piece with a functional snap.

The only marking is the embossed #224 on the back that corresponds with the knife. The scabbard isn't the prettiest thing, but functions well and has a substantial belt loop. The scabbard shows wear, age, and use, but has maintained the perfect blade well over the years.
