Vintage 1978 PUMA Model #6396 Bowie Knife Pumaster Steel Blade, Stag Horn Handle with Original Leather Sheath Handmade in Germany Control#: 12871 Indicates it was manufactured in the 1st quarter of 1978 (in January) in Excellent Condition Clean. No odors of any kind. No cracks in stag handle.

Blade is tight in handle, straight, and sharp. Sheath looks near new, with original Puma Tag still attached. Flaws (see last 3 photos): Blemish of unknown origin on the hilt. Small amount of rust at base of the blade, where it meets the hilt, & where it exits the hilt coming into the handle. Blade has the PUMA logo, and reads.

GENUINE -- PUMASTER -- STEEL - GERMANY. Back of sheath has the embossed puma head, as well as the letters PUMA, and MADE IN GERMANY. This item was donated to our non-profit organization. All proceeds benefit Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis, Oregon. While simultaneously supporting a great cause -- a win-win proposition!
