In Colorado in 1982, this item is a Vintage Western Cutlery Model W49 Fixed Blade Hunting / Survival / Fighting Bowie Knife with Matching Original Genuine Leather Sheath. It comes to you in UNUSED / UNSHARPENED NEAR MINT CONDITION!

Knife has only been lightly handled over the past four decades. Most people would call this knife MINT.

Both knife and sheath are extremely tight and extremely clean. It would be very difficult to find a nicer one of these knives. This monster of a knife has an overall length of 14 1/2", massive classic bowie blade measures about 9 1/2 inches long, blade tang is marked, "WESTERN U. W49 F (this mark was used in 1982) and when in its sheath it weighs almost 2 full pounds. It sports an exotic hardwood handle, mirror finish blade and solid brass birdseye pins and a full fighting style hand guard. Sheath is marked on front, "WESTERN" and it fits knife perfectly.
