Exceedingly rare Tom Leschorn embellished custom Randall Made Orlando Florida Model 7 Fisherman Hunter knife. Legendary master engraver and carver Tom Leschorn was the first of just two craftsmen Bo Randall allowed to take unfinished blades and complete them into highly embellished custom masterpieces. This example was finished in 1991 just one year before Leschorn died and is an exceptional representation of his work.
The knife measures 9 1/2 long overall and features a 4 1/2 blade. The blade retains its original luster and factory edge. The carved wood Handle is fitted with a solid Gold elk relief inlay on the left side and a deer on the right side which are both encircled in natural white materials. There is a check through the material which surrounds the elk on the left side, but otherwise the knife is in excellent condition with no further issues. The guard and pommel are relief engraved with floral motifs and an elk carved into the butt.
The pommel is signed ENGR T. Original Randall leather sheath is in excellent condition. Tom Leschorn knives very rarely come up for sale and usually do not feature this high level of engraving, carving, and materials. A true masterpiece and investment grade knife.
