For your consideration is this: Stunning SOLINGEN GERMANY EIG hunting / skinning Knife in. Good Condition for being approximately 70 years old! The thick vintage Antler - Stag Handl e & Mirror-like fixed blade on this 10 Bowie. There is well-fitting companion Leather Sheath included and it offers secure carrying while in the field.

This decades-old Germany Stag/Bone handle knife & vintage leather sheath are from my personal knife collection. These early knives of Solingen Germany are known world wide for their quality steel, fine craftsmanship, and attention given to details. This collectible 1950's era Hunting / Skinning /Survival. Collected, making a knife like this one difficult to find in such great condition. The blade is factory stamped.

The 10 1/8 long Bowie knife feels heavy, well balanced, and solid when held in your hand. The beautiful thick Gnarly bone handle is made from Real antler stag/bone with rich natural color tones and displays nice light natural aging signs (which is common with real aged bone). This impressive antler/stag handle is in " Exceptionally Good Condition" for it's 1950's age. There are No chips or cracks and the large bone handle measures 1 14" x 1 16" thick and fits well in hand. There are handsome dark grooves & natural raised areas with a unique natural gnarly-bone pattern. This knife has secure fittings of a 1 1/8" long Brass half-guard & shiny aluminum pommel with tight 3/8" tang nut. This collectible German knife also has tight handle spacers and there is No looseness. (Please view photos for details). T he blade measures: 6 1/16 inches.

The "mirror-like" fixed blade is made from quality SOLINGEN GERMANY Steel and measures 6 1 /16 inches long. There is a factory Swedge or 2 1/2 long false top edge that can be sharpened, if desired. This German Steel blade is an impressive 3/16 thick on the widest area on the blade spine. The vintage clip-point fixed blade is in. Very Good Condition but has some faint surface scratches and a some tiny micro age specks, which is common for being decades old.

There are No blade edge nicks on the reflective steel blade and it appears straight with a pointed tip. This is a Heavy-duty fixed blade vintage knife with loads of character and history behind it. The companion leather sheath (or case) is in Very Good Vintage Condition. It has intact stitching , stiff belt slot area, secure metal rivets, stiff throat area, and working keeper strap with metal snap.

Although not original to the Solingen 10 Bowie knife this leather sheath offers secure, easy carrying in the field. Germany Bowie Knife with large stag/ bone handle & bright blade! This rare vintage EIG CUTLERY survival knife will make a great addition for the collector or outdoorsman in your fa. The old hunting knife has.
