Old Bowie Fighting Knife Marek Estate Exceptional Stag Handle Hunting Survival... Measures approx 15 5/8 OAL. The blade is 10 7/8", and 1 1/4" wide at the guard. About 1/4 thick stock, possibly made from a file.

There is a gray, pebbled patina, tiny pitting scars. The are some areas of tarnish, rust spotting on and around the guard and the steel ferrule and pommel cap.

Note the rattail tang, exposed, and peened. The stag is absolutely stunning. Feels "hungry" in my hand! This knife comes from the estate of Robert Marek, Berkeley, CA who died in 2015. There is considerable information about him on the internet.
