MINTY Antique Vintage J RUSSELL Co Green River Works FIGHTING BOWIE BOOT KNIFE

THISTLE GRIP EBONY WOOD HANDLE. Pictured and offered for sale is a MINTY antique vintage J. Green River Works knife in a most MINTY CONDITION, and very excellent 6 inch blade. Thistle pattern ebony wood handled, fighting Bowie Knife, from the WWI time period. Knife is in a most excellent, minty condition showing the blade to be full factory made size, 6 inches in length.

Blade width is its full factory made size as well. Knife is tang stamped nicely, with Company trade mark. Green River Works with trade mark beneath. Stamping is CLEAN and CRISP, remaining deep showing NO Signs of wear off. Blade shines nicely with mirror qualities.

Held in the right angle of refection you can see a few soft surface scratches on blade, very minimal. Blade is rust and corrosion free.

Ebony wood "carved thistle pattern" handle has NO chips, NO cracks, NO Defects. Leather sheath is well aged, original to knife, WW 1 period, only good for storage or display. The tip is cut open, back belt strap missing. If you desire to carry knife, you will need a new sheath. The knife would work well as a boot knife, having no protruding guard.
