M1880 US Army Hunting Knife
This is an original 1880 US Army hunting knife. It shows no signs of resharpening and has very little staining or patina (a couple of very small nicks on the edge). The markings are as depicted. The scabbard, which appears to be the less common "Varney" type, is complete other than the absence of the locking leather strip for the belt clip. No restoration has been done, the photos are as it is. The leather is in very good condition on the scabbard portion, but with dryness and significant cracking in the hinge and some on the strap behind the belt.
