Back ricasso marked simply "ENGLAND". Tight knife; stacked leather fit together tightly; no loose parts. Sheath may be original; is a WWII-era leather cover as used in KA-BAR MARK 2 combat knives. Pre-WWII knife that may have been used during the war, especially considering the sheath (came to me with this sheath). The knife fits the sheath well.
Great, well-built knife with tight leather and attractive stag pommel. Extra-Nice STAG POMMEL ON STACKED LEATHER - HUNTER/COMBAT PATTERN. Blade ricasso clearly stamped with Crane Brand logo.
No issues with parts fitting. Length = 12 total length. Handles are stacked leather without issues; tight. Stag is aged and has good color. This stag has no issues otherwise. Blade has blood grooves on each side. Rounded Sambar-STAG POMMEL with Pommel Screw. Snap works fine, but leather is cracking with age. Pommel screw shows wear, but not bad. Used and cleaned; full blade. Blade may have been restored by professional cleaning (hard to tell, but seems to be done well; not by me).Surface spotting and discoloration; needs cleaning. I have not cleaned, buffed, or otherwise modified this knife. Plexiglass display frame and/or other props used in some photos are not included in the sale.
NO SMELLY KNIVES FROM ME. Any knives I listed with STAG handles have handles made of Sambar deer antler - naturally shed.
