This is an original Kinfolks USA knife made during the late 1930s or early 1940s.. The blade is sharp and in excellent condition, with very minimal wear. One side of the tang is maker- stamped. The stacked leather handle is excellent.
The sheath/ scabbard is also in excellent condition, with the original Kinfolks' maker stamp and tooling on the leather. It is designed with "loop" to be worn on a belt or other strap.
The bolster is Bakelite, and the black Bakelite butt (or heel) is a rare feature for this knife. This knife has been in my family for more than 80 years, as it belonged to my paternal grandfather. My father passed down three knives, and I will be listing the others as well.
Thank you for your interest.
