This Gerber Magnum was given to me while I was in my 20s. From the research I was able to do, I believe the knife was made in the early to middle 50 s, There are a few minor dings in the handle, The blade is solid with no nicks but it has been sharpened....

The first photo is of a NEW one but very similar to the one here for sale. If you search for another, Original vintage Gerber, you will find it is most unique and very elusive.

I also believe it is a full tang. I do not know the variety of Stainless Steel used (see the attached link) It stays sharp even after field dressing two Moose in one afternoon and can go right into the dishwasher when you get home. (not the leather sheath) The knife is imprinted "Gerber", so there is no doubt it is high quality. It is truly a difficult knife to find at any price or condition. This is my first listing after more than a couple years absence due to medical issues.. If I really make an unsuccessful mess of this listing I will probably re-list it again with better photos... But for now, it is the best I got..

There is evidence it has been sharpened, in the right light,, scuffs do exist. She shows plenty of character but is certainly useful, it is a knife that has been used in three countries over a 40 plus year period. Thank you for your tolerance, It is not the same E bay i remember. Thank goodness for the spell corrector!
