Full CUSTOM Stephenson, S. (LakeWales, Fl.) FixedBlade EDC Knife/Sheath- 1 of 1

Awesome EDC, fixed blade, 8'' knife, from Stephenson Knives, out of Lake Wales, Polk County, Florida. Shawn Stephenson is a well-known Bladesmith in the knife-making community and a personal friend of mine. Overall great guy, hard-working and a "Man's man". He is a retired deputy Sheriff of Polk Co, avid rifle & bow hunter, marksman, Public School Guardian, and has been making hardcore, quality, working knives (tools), for quite a while, with his son. He has donated knives to the Boy Scouts & Boy's clubs, all around, and travels to many different knife shows with his custom knives and folks love them! Form follows function with his knives, and they rank among some of the best I have seen, amongst these types of EDC, working knives. I have at least eight or so! This custom knife is one of his rarer,'' artistic, fancy ones, that is both eye-catching, nice-looking and very durable and sharp!

Shawn and his son forge, temper and use Cryogenics to harden the oxide finish blades. This knife is 8'' long with a 4'' blade. Scales are Bull-bone, horn and blackwood. I made the sheath for this one (His wife usually makes them), and I added the lanyard for a cool, matching effect with the green. This knife was custom-made for me by Shawn, along with some of the others I have.

Essentially, ALL of the knives he makes are "one-off", because no two are very much alike. He does a lot of experimenting with different steels and patterns and materials and always comes up with a great, usable "tool", that is near scalpel sharp!
