Please read our Terms below for details. It's stamped GF on its blade and GF 97 on its sheath and I'm pretty sure the 97 indicates 1997 as its year of manufacture.

Grant is a member of the Canadian Knife maker's guild and this fine piece shows why: it has superior quality in every single detail of its design, materials, craftsmanship, condition and performance. Grant hand-forges his blades from bearings, leaf-springs and other truly outstanding stock, heat-treated and carefully shaped into his masterful designs. Ground double-convex with deep bevels, it's proof once again that the best things often come in the smallest packages. Blade is RAZOR sharp and I don't think it has ever been used, remaining in superb, like-new condition. Handle was made from a beautifully grained desert ironwood fastened over the full tang using nickel silver pins and a custom-made mosaic pin, fashioned into an extremely comfortable grip.

All long its spine and underside it has been intricately adorned with some very nice filework and near its tip is a very handy flint-striker. Best of all by far about the knife, though, is its edge, which enjoys a level of sharpness and cutting precision unknown to even the costliest store-bought German knives and the like. It has a 3" blade (knife is 7.25" overall)--just right--and the grip is frighteningly comfortable in the hand. This piece is perfect for the serious hunter or anybody who'd like to carry a sturdy knife or has wanted to use the finest blade but didn't want to damage an investment-grade custom piece. Hard to imagine a better knife in this smaller size for self-defense, too; this will DEFINITELY get you out of even the stickiest jam.

The leather sheath of this knife is also of top quality, fitting this knife like the proverbial glove. You'd pay a lot more for an uninteresting hunting knife from your local Army-Navy store, but you wouldn't get the same beauty, performance or quality. An excellent value on a top-quality knife that is as much a conversation piece as it is beautiful and efficient.
