The Stainless Hunter is the flagship knife of the Fehr Forgeworks collection, custom designed by owner Graeson Fehr to be the ideal knife to work in any hunting scenario. Each blade is made from 440C stainless steel which is known for its toughness and superior corrosion resistance.
This steel Is commonly used in many larger stainless steel blades which is because of its toughness and springiness which isn't as common in stainless steels. The blade has a hollow ground edge which makes for an extremely sharp cutting edge, lending well to skinning, fleshing, and deboning. Our blades are finished with a mirror polish to help keep moisture off and match the mirror polished fittings.
The knife is about 3/16. Thick which puts the weight into the handle which has been designed for a medium to larger hand, and features brass pins and handle liners, with a brass lanyard tube (for brown woods), or stainless steel fittings for the moose antler variant. The handle material is a very tough exotic wood (Wenge), with a black micarta bolster. Each knife comes standard with a hand tooled and stitched leather sheath with a low profile belt loop.
