C hristmas I s J ust A round he C orner. Makes A Wonderful Gift To Someone Special. #1765 White Puma Explorer Hunting Knife. This is Cutco's Vintage #1765 White Puma. The #1765 replaced the earlier 1065. It is freshly back from CUTCO for Cleaning, Sharpening, and Polishing. The blade is in Fine Condition. There is no rust, common to this model.

The CUTCO engraved graphic is slightly worn on both sides. The light brown handle has no scratching, and is highly polished. Overall this knife is very clean, super sharp, and highly polished. Included a new Flap & Snap leather sheath.

The blade has a length of 5-3/8, with an overall knife length of 10-1/4. The blade is a high-carbon steel, not stainless steel.

There is no corrosion, that is usually seen on some of these knives for sale. The hilt is shiny clean. The pommel is nicely polished, and has the usual tiny scratches or scuffs. The handle is a nice medium brown color, with really no orange swirl. Please use the photos for a more complete description.

This is A Very Sweet 1765... Again, the White Puma Explorer is made from high-carbon steel. It has a blade twice as thick as the current Cutco hunting knife (See the last picture). This knife is essentially a tool. Good for much more than cutting. The pommel of the handle can be used for hammering, like this one did. The blade can be leveraged against something without breaking, unlike CUTCOs other highly tempered hunting knives. The blade is massive enough to chop at branches etc..... This is a heavy-weight 11oz knife. This is the one Knife/Tool to carry, for the true outdoorsman. No Longer Made for Several Decades, it is Rare in this Condition.
