The blade is made of vanadium alloy steel (there is no designation on the hardness of the steel). With a clip point and a blade length of 8 inches. The total length of the knife is 12-3/4 This collectible fixed blade knife is a piece of history from Spain, making it a unique and sought-after item for collectors of vintage knives. Comes with the original sheath as well. Has never been sharpened by me and I'm the original owner.
Kept in a smoke-free climate control. There are a few scratches on the original Simón sheath and a just a couple on the blade. I'm not going to clean the brass that has tarnished a bit over the 42 years I've owned it. I kept it separate from the sheath in a safe as leather will retain moisture and degrade a knife.
