Antique hunting dagger tiger knife WOOTZ steel khanjar katar mughal NO RESERVE

This is not a repro or some cheap knock off from India. This true wootz steel dagger is dated to the mid 18th century. WILL BE A STUNNING ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. Rights of passage, these knives were used as TIGER killers, hence the wide end. This piece is fully hand forged with no joints. It is a centimeter or two under 17 1/2 inches.

Although it is not clear in pictures it is Wootz steel. The pattern is clearer up close and it has been authenticated by an expert. Personal provenance-I know the man that originally owned this piece.

His father worked for the UN so he spent his early years traveling with him for work. His father was the first owner. It was a gift to him from a tribal elder in Nepal! If you ask for it i can contact him and include this provenance (written statement signed by him) with the dagger.
