This is an antique 1800's / early 1900's folding Hunting / Bowie knife from a local estate. It it is stamped ULSTER KNIFE Co. NY" as well as etched on the blade "THE ACCRUS (see close-up images).
The etching is difficult to photograph, but believe it's "masculine" in French. It features coffin shape ebony handle, with 4 1/4" clip bowie style blade, and 4 1/4" bone-saw blade. The blades swing into half & fully open with incredible snap action. No chips or cracks to handle. The only thing we see to mention is slight toning / spotting to blade and darkening of springs near the back bolsters (as if it was in a desk drawer for 100+ years / see close-up images). It's a great big early folding ULSTER knife named "THE ACCRUS", fit for exhibition display or collection.
