Mint 1974 Puma 11 6396 Bowie Knife. The Puma model number is 6396. The knife has stag handles. The Puma guarantee control date is 98474. This indicates this knife was hand made in the 4th quarter of 1974 at Puma Werks in Solingen, Germany. The handles are genuine stag with three brass rivets. The handle also have a brass lined lanyard hole. The blade was made from German Pumaster high carbon steel.

1/2" overall with a 6 1/2" blade. The knife also comes with a genuine Puma tan leather sheath.

The blade is etched with: 6396 HANDMADE. The knife comes with a Puma leather sheath and factory papers.

This Puma knife was hand made in Solingen Germany at Puma Werks. Puma makes one of the highest quality knives made. The knife includes the "Puma Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle. This is part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The blade also has the Rockwell sticker on it.
