I've got some pretty cool and collectible knives for sale this week, so please be sure and take a look at my other items before you go. Quality of this knife is off the charts good, with an ebony wood handle, brass pommel and tang, with a stainless steel blade. The lines of this knife appear to be possibly Japanese upon first glance, but Hackman is a Finnish company.
The designer, Tapio Wirkkala, often used a Puukko style knife in his daily tasks, and eventually designed this knife as part of his body of work. This piece is in good condition.
Most notable issue being a little wear in the finish on the top part of the handle of the knife, probably from thumb placement there, and a missing loop of leather from the sheath. Blade is in great shape.I haven't touched it to clean it up or anything so it's got what light wear it came with. This knife would have been used for hunting purposes or even in a kitchen. This knife feels very well-balanced in your hand.
It's one of those things that feels "natural" when you're holding it. Please see photos for the best idea of condition.
