1960s WESTERN Boulder Colorado USA L39 Hunting Knife FACTORY EDGE Leather Sheath

This is another choice knife, from the same source as the knife I listed a couple of days ago. It is a circa 1960s WESTERN Boulder Colo USA model L39 hunting/skinning knife. It is 9-1/2" overall with 5-1/4" blade, in great condition - still has the (very SHARP) factory edge. It appears to have remnants of some sort of clear coat on the metal parts (visible in some of the pics). Whether from factory or previous collector, I don't know, but perhaps that contributed to its fine preservation.

The handle is stacked leather washers with contrasts at each end. This knife has Western's patented TWIN TANG. Its original leather sheath is in excellent shape, too, with embossed oak leaf & acorns decorations. You can find other examples of this knife, but NOT OFTEN in THIS CONDITION.
