Vintage Hunting Butcher Knife with Carbon Steel Blade, Wood Handle, & Sheath. In 1731, Peter Henckels founded Zwilling J. Henckels's predecessor in Solingen, Germany.

This is the professional high end quality Chef's knife produced from the famous city of blade Solingen, Germany. Solingen is renowned for manufacturing of fine swords, knives, scissors, and razors.

This knife has the blade hand forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing razor sharp cutting satisfaction. Weight 7 - 9 oz. Pitting patina on both sides of the blade (last two photos), blade structure is good. Maintenance Suggestion: Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid. After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.
