The Model 1880 Hunting knife was issued to the Cavalry, Infantry, and Artillery forces during the Indian andish-American Wars. This original specimen has been kept oiled and stored in a wooden crate in the attic of my family home for the past 75 years or so and is in Good to very good condition. The scabbard has some excessive wear in between the sheath and the belt hook, there is extremely light pitting on the blade which has never been sanded and it still has a good point and edge. There are two chips out of the pommel otherwise the handle is perfectly intact. This knife belonged to my great grandfather and has been in my family since it's issue...
