Old MAREK Maker BOWIE KNIFE 9 Blade Hand Filed Brass Mounts Wood Handle Hunting... Robert Marek was known (more so after his death in 2015) as an artist, blacksmith, and knife maker. He was featured on the tv show, Strange Inheritances. He had the materials and the skills to make quality knives that often appeared centuries older. This knife came from his estate, measures about 13 5/8 OAL.

The blade is 9, has gray patina w/ a pebbled pattern, small pitting scars. It is approx 1/5" wide w/ 1/8" spine. Note hand carving on the full cross guard, and the pommel cap which was shaped to conform w/ the beautiful, dark wood handle. This knife is tight as a drum w/ exposed rat tail tang!
