Early DAVID BROADWELL Hunter, Fixed Blade Hunting Knife, Schrap Leather Sheath

This handmade, drop point, fixed blade hunting knife was made by David Broadwell, and is in excellent condition. It is an early example of his work, made in 1988. David began making knives in 1981, and has been at it full-time since 1989.

He considers himself both an artist and a knifemaker. Most of what you'll see today from David are art knives that cost in the thousands.

It is made from a 3/16 thick piece of 440C stainless steel, with a satin finish, hidden tang construction. The blade is in unused and unsharpened condition. It has one nickel silver pin on the presentation side.

The single finger guard is also nickel silver. Hey all, I was contacted by David since posting the knife. He's what he had to say..

Well, this is a blast from the past! It appears to be in pristine condition. The blade is 440c and the handle is cocobolo.

The guard and pin are nickel silver as you noted. I did not include a sheath, but the leather from Bob is excellent. I made this knife in 1988 and took it to the Chicago club show that year in the hopes of getting an order for this design for the club's knife. That didn't happen, but I did sell the knife. I don't recall to whom though. Let me know if I can help in any way to sell it. This knife comes from a life-long collection of knives that were well-taken care of, and with very few exceptions, properly stored. It is clean - never used or sharpened.

You are always welcome to contact me for additional pictures. Included is the original leather, pouch-type belt sheath, made by Bob Schrap of Wauwatosa, WI.

We will consider, and respond to all reasonable Best Offers on any knife. Never used, carried or sharpened. Windy City Knives is a dealer of custom, handmade and collectible knives.
